Lemon and garlic easy marinated olives
These olives are one of my favorite things to make as a small appetizer. They are incredibly quick and easy to make, they are far cheaper than buying pre-marinated olives, and they have always received great reviews when I have made them.
If you are looking for a last-minute addition to your holiday appetizer menu, I highly recommend trying these.

Lemon and Garlic Easy Marinated Olives
Recipe adapted from my former housemate – thanks Al!
Ingredients
1 tin pitted green (or black) olives, drained
1 tsp olive oil
1 lemon, juiced
1/2 to 1 clove garlic (I use 1 clove for two tins of olives)
Directions
Combine ingredients in a serving bowl. Stir together. Cover and refrigerate, stirring occasionally, and marinate until you are ready to serve them. The longer they marinate, the more flavor the olives soak up. I try to mix them up in the morning if I am going to serve them in the evening and stir them a few times throughout the day. These are also great left-over to snack on or add to salads.
I am looking forward to a fun day visiting friends and then having family arrive for Christmas this evening! I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas weekend!
I never thought to marinate my own! I am doing this for tomorrow- looks delicious. Thanks 🙂
Oh good! So glad you will be able to use the recipe. Hope you enjoy it!
mmm- those olives are the perfect appetizer to any party!
Glad you think so! I certainly agree!
I’ve been looking for a marinated olives recipe that’s easy to follow. I wanted to try out making them but was having trouble finding something easier to follow. I think this post might be the ticket! Thanks for posting!
