It didn’t feel right posting a quote about procrastination last Monday, given that it goes against the entire ethos of this blog. I don’t think there is anything wrong with sharing some of my less happy or less dedicated or less motivated times, because I certainly have my fair share of these, and it would be completely fake if I only shared the good times. However, putting things off until tomorrow isn’t the way I want to live, and so whenever possible, I want to focus instead on trying to reach goals today!
Therefore, I have decided to start a new series of posts…Motivational Mondays.
The start of the week can be a difficult time to get going, but it is also a chance for a fresh start. I am sure I won’t manage to post every Monday, and perhaps only very occasional Mondays, but I am looking forward to having an excuse to share (sometimes cheesy) quotes, maybe pictures, maybe stories, and anything I come across which inspires me.
Tonight, this thought was enough to get me out the door for a run:
This may seem like a strange thought, but working in a hospital, I am often reminded of how lucky I am to be healthy and independent, and after seeing this quote yesterday, it made me want to get out on the sidewalks/pavements and put my legs and lungs to the test. I didn’t make it far, but boy, did it feel good!
I hope all of you are having a wonderful Monday, and I hope this quote gets you lacing up your running shoes!
